WWE 2K23 has been called a return to form for the long-running video game series. Its creation suite has been widely praised and is considered one of the franchise’s greatest ever offerings. Since the game’s release on 17 March 2023, fans have been hard at work creating superstars, arenas, and championships as part of WWE 2K23‘s Community Creations. And one WWE 2K23 player has recently recreated two classic arenas that are sure to provide an exciting throwback for players.

Over the course of WWE history, its flagship television shows Raw and SmackDown have featured numerous different stage designs. In 2011, the shows featured near-identical titantrons comprised of a screen for entrance videos and multiple large LED boards with brand-appropriate colouring.

Raw’s 2011 set was particularly notable as it featured a unique version of the show’s logo. It incorporated SmackDown branding in the form of the word “Supershow”. That’s because the original WWE brand extension (which began in 2002) came to an end in 2011 when Triple H announced the creation of “Raw Supershow”. This would allow SmackDown superstars to regularly appear on Raw.

To commemorate the now 12-year-old sets, Twitter user @SoyElRuu took to the social media platform to share his recreations of them in WWE 2K23.

WWE 2K23 fans responded positively to the creations. User @HarvAddy commented: “My childhood WWE ‘12 game is back! Let’s go! Amazing work as always my man”. @DylanToolan said: “Phenomenal job!”. Another user was so impressed they asked @SolElRuu to recreate other classic Raw and SmackDown arenas: “Damn! Any chance of a [sic] 2014-2015 Era smackdown and raw arenas?”

According to @SolElRuu’s tweet, the 2011 arenas are available to download now on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC. That means now is as good a time as any to recreate memorable 2011 moments in WWE 2K23.
