A new operator arriving in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II and Warzone isn’t always newsworthy. They pop up all the time as part of special bundles in the store. But the latest addition to the CoD roster has gotten fans talking. She’s called Izzy and debuted on 24 July 2023 as part of Season 04 Reloaded. But who is Izzy in MW2 and Warzone?
Izzy was first revealed as a new operator in MW2 and Warzone on 10 July as part of the promotional roadmap for Season 04 Reloaded. She instantly caught the attention of CoD fans thanks to her garish pearlescent bodysuit.
Since then, the community has been speculating as to exactly when she would arrive. Now Izzy is here and she’s included as part of the Tracer Pack: Izzy operator bundle in the Call of Duty store.
So, who is the new Izzy operator, what do we know about her, and what does her operator bundle include?
Who is Izzy in MW2 & Warzone?
Izzy’s full name is Izanami. She is a member of the KorTac faction.
Her name is inspired by the creator goddess Izanami-no-Mikoto from Japenese mythology.
Izzy’s in-game bio provides little information about her background and personality, alluding only to her skill as a soldier. It reads as follows:
“Izzy is a serious threat on the battlefield.”
