Players’ prayers have been answered. One-hit-down snipers are back in Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 Season 3. They have been sorely missed by the Call of Duty community and their absence has fuelled criticism of the game. Of course, fans are now eager to try them out and everyone wants to know what the one-hit-down snipers are.

Nothing is more frustrating than landing a clean headshot on an enemy player and only cracking their armor. That’s because they can simply take cover and re-armor. Then the process repeats until players get bored and move on.

Unfortunately for players, this has been the reality of sniping in Warzone 2.0 since its launch. As fans of the original Warzone will remember, sniping allowed for plenty of one-hit-downs (most of the time). This made sniping intense and fast-paced.

So, if you want to experience CoD sniping as it should be, what weapons do you need to use?

Which Snipers are One-Hit-Down?

Activision has confirmed that bolt-action snipers equipped with Explosive Ammunition will be capable of a One-Hit-Down in Warzone 2.0 Season 3.

The following snipers in Warzone 2.0 are bolt-action and can be equipped with Explosive Ammunition. Therefore, these Snipers are One-Hit-Down in Warzone 2.0 Season 3:

  • MCPR-300
  • Victus XMR
  • FJX Imperium

To accommodate the change, Explosive Ammunition is now available as part of the MCPR-300’s progression.

The Signal 50, LA-B 330, and SP-X 80 will not be able to down an opponent with one shot.

After a good run at the top of the meta, it’s likely many players will now ditch the Signal 50 in favour of a bolt-action sniper equipped with Explosive Ammunition.

The FJX Imperium is a new sniper coming in Season 3. It is based on the Intervention from 2009’s Modern Warfare 2.
