This Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III (MW3) and Warzone guide explains what a looted weapon is.

The integration of MW3 into Warzone saw the introduction of Daily Challenges in the battle royale mode. These are time-limited challenges that last for 24 hours.

If you manage to complete a Daily Challenge, you will be rewarded with 2,500XP. If you complete three of them, you will be rewarded with an Armory Unlock.

The game also features Weekly Challenges, which variously reward between 2,500XP and 7,500XP. Completing five Weekly Challenges within a week will also bag you an aftermarket part, while completing eight unlocks a special weapon camo.

For the most part, both Daily and Weekly Challenges are fairly straightforward. However, sometimes their wording can be a little ambiguous or downright confusing.

As an example, you may get a challenge requiring you to do something with a looted weapon such as kill an enemy operator. But what is a looted weapon in Warzone and how do you get one?

What is a looted weapon in Warzone?

A looted weapon is any weapon that you have collected off the floor, from an enemy player, or found in a crate.

If your challenge requires you to kill an enemy operator with a looted weapon, simply find and collect a weapon. Next, find an enemy operator and use the weapon you just collected to kill them.

It’s worth noting that just dropping your current weapon and collecting it again will not count.

You need to actively search for, collect, and use a weapon that isn’t from your loadout.
