That means people unfamiliar with FromSoftware games may be wondering how they can take advantage of Elden Ring‘s deep and varied features. However, these games aren’t exactly known for hand-holding. Players have to figure a lot out for themselves. And that includes what different items do. Memory Stones are one such item. And, whilst clearly valuable, it’s not exactly clear how they affect the player. So, what do Memory Stones do in Elden Ring?

If you’re going for a build that involves the use of spells and sorceries, you will find Memory Stones incredibly useful. As a mage, having access to a wide variety of spells is integral to being effective in combat. When you start Elden Ring, you’re only able to memorize two spells – which isn’t many. But there is a way to memorize more!

What do Memory Stones do in Elden Ring? Memory Stones add memory slots for spells, allowing you to expand your magic arsenal. Memory slots can be customised at Sites of Grace by selecting the Memorize Spells option.

Where to find Memory Stones in Elden Ring

Eight can be obtained in Elden Ring. These are the locations where you can get them:

  • Oridys’s Rise.
  • Lenne’s Rise.
  • Converted Tower.
  • Testu’s Rise.
  • Seluvis’s Rise.
  • Dropped by Red Wolf of Radagon.
  • Dropped by Demi-Human Queen Maggie.
  • Can be bought for 3000 Runes from the Twin Maiden Husks at the Roundtable Hold.
