This guide explains what the Haunted Box does in The Haunting event in Call of Duty: Warzone.

Season 6 of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone has been overshadowed by the well-received MW3 beta. However, the much-anticipated Halloween event is finally here. And that means players (ourselves included) are diving into Warzone to see what the devs have done as part of the spooky season celebrations.

The event is called ‘The Haunting’ and introduces a whole host of new features to Warzone and DMZ. This includes Halloween-inspired bosses, jump scares, special weapons, Zombie Royale, and more. Unique field upgrades have also been added, such as the Haunted Box.

With many players collecting this new box for the first time, most will be wondering exactly what it does. So, after spending some time in The Haunting and using the Haunted Box for ourselves, allow us to explain.

What does the Haunted Box do in The Haunting (Warzone & DMZ)?

The Haunted Box refills your ammo, equipment and armor plates and also drops cash and other useful items.

It operates in much the same way as Munitions and Armor Boxes, except it has the added bonus of dropping loot for you to collect.

They also feature an awesomely creepy design. The box resembles a small, aggressive monster, complete with huge teeth, glowing eyes, and glyphs.

When you use it, this triggers an animation of your operator briefly wrestling with the box to prevent it from biting.
