Season 4 of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II and Warzone launches on 14 June. The latest seasonal update boasts new weapons, Operators, and even a new map, “Vondel”. At Geoff Keighley’s Summer Game Fest on 9 June, a trailer for the new season was shown and gave fans a glimpse of what they can expect. In the trailer, eagle eyed viewers spotted a logo for Amazon’s The Boys TV series which hints at a collaboration between Call of Duty and the popular show.

Posting to Twitter, Call of Duty news site CharlieIntel wrote, “The Vondel trailer appears to be teasing a collaboration with Amazon Prime’s The Boys TV show for #Warzone.” In an attached screenshot, the logo for The Boys can be seen sprayed on a wall.

The Boys is a dark and subversive TV series about a vigilante group exposing a corrupt superhero team known as the Seven. With intense action and moral ambiguity, it explores power, corruption, and blurred line between heroes and villains. It has gained acclaim for its unique take on the superhero genre. The Boys stars Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Antony Starr, and Erin Moriarty.

Call of Duty has included a number in-game Operators based on celebrities, fictional characters, and sports-personalities in recent years. These include the likes of Lionel Messi, Shredder, and Rambo. While details of the crossover with Amazon Prime’s The Boys aren’t yet known, it is likely the collaboration will feature Operators based on Homelander and Billy Butcher among other things.

Season 4 will also introduce the ISO 45 SMG, the Tempus Razorback assault rifle, new Operators Nikito and Ana Vega, and six new multiplayer maps. Vondel will be available for the Resurgence game mode before playing host to the traditional battle royale mode at the mid-season.
