This article details the upcoming Warzone DMZ Season 2 changes.
Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 Season 2 is right around the corner. And with it comes a number of big changes to the popular DMZ mode.
If, like me, DMZ has become your favourite mode in Warzone 2.0, you will be fully aware of its positives and negatives.
DMZ provides a much-needed change of pace compared to the standard battle royale mode.
DMZ is an authentic looter-shooter experience that is slower and more complex than standard Warzone without any less excitement. There’s nothing quite like the thrill of a last-minute extraction that pits you against enemy players in a tense stand-off.
But the new mode is still in beta. And that means that DMZ is a work-in-progress. Things like the brutal enemy AI, hard crashes, and mission difficulty have all been problems in Season 1. Thankfully, things are changing in Season 2.
So, let’s go through the list of DMZ Season 2 changes that players can expect on 15 February.
DMZ Season 2 Changes List
Players who enjoyed many months with the original Warzone will be used to the periodic updates and changes. DMZ is no different and will constantly evolve as time goes on.
Below is the list of changes coming in DMZ Season 2:
1 – Brand new map Ashika Island Exclusion Zone.
2 – New boss, “The Bombmaker”.
3 – Aircraft crash site at Al Mazrah Sattiq Cave Complex.
4 – Wipe of key inventories.
5 – Contraband Weapons reset to starting weapons.
6 – Existing Faction Missions removed and replaced with new mission set.
7 – New missions will be easier.
8 – Unlocking additional Insured Weapon Slot will be quicker.
9 – New faction, “Crown”.
10 – AI enemy tuning to address spawns, accuracy, and numbers.
11 – Al Mazrah spawn points moved to improve early game experience.
12 – Different exfil locations.
13 – New boss and dead drop locations.
14 – Improved game stability to mitigate crashes.

These new DMZ changes will hopefully address many of the issues players have had with the game mode in Season 1.
AI enemy difficulty and spawn tuning will probably be the most significant changes to the feel of the game. Right now, it’s easy to get overwhelmed by hoards of enemy AI. This can make for some incredibly frustrating moments. Thankfully, that looks to be changing in Season 2.
The reset of Faction Missions will probably annoy many players who spent hours completing them. Mercifully, Infinity Ward will allow players who have unlocked additional insured weapon slots to keep them after the reset.
