This guide explains where to find the Crash Site Weapon Case location after getting the key in Warzone DMZ.
A lot has changed since the first season of DMZ. But one thing has remained the same for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2‘s popular extraction mode. And that’s its unique keys. With every new season comes new faction missions, new locations, and brand new keys in DMZ. The keys unlock special loot caches throughout Al Mazrah, Ashika Island, and Building 21.
These caches can range from individual loot containers to rooms to entire points of interest.
However, when you get a key for the first time, the game doesn’t offer you any indication of where to find the cache that it unlocks. As a result, players are left asking what to do with Warzone DMZ keys.
One such key is the Crash Site Weapon Case key.
How to get Crash Site Weapon Case key
While there’s a chance you may randomly collect the key, the most straightforward way of acquiring one is by completing the “Make Contact” DMZ mission. “Make Contact” is a tier 1 White Lotus faction mission, which also rewards 5,000 XP.
You can also increase your chances of acquiring one of these keys by completing a HVT contract (simply grab a HVT contract phone to start the contract). High Value Targets usually drop keys when killed and may drop the Crash Site Weapon Case key.
As of Season 3, you can also use a Skeleton Key to unlock the weapon case. To craft one, visit a Buy Station and check out the Barter menu to find out exactly how to craft a Skeleton Key.
Warzone DMZ Key: Crash Site Weapon Case Location
The keys for specific points of interest come with a small icon that matches a location on the map. This makes them easier than the others.
However, the locations of smaller caches are left a mystery. And players have to hope they randomly stumble across them.
Thankfully, once you’ve discovered a cache for the first time, the game adds map coordinates to the key’s description. This makes it easy to find that specific cache again on another deployment. But this doesn’t help you on your initial search.
This is where to find the Crash Site Weapon Case location in Warzone DMZ:
The Crash Site Weapon Case is located south of Sattiq Cave Complex underneath the orange pipes of the oil pipeline. Its exact location can be found at map coordinates ‘D5’ on the tac-map.
The easiest way to find the Crash Site Weapon Case is to look for the crash site itself.
The crash is hard to miss thanks to the wrecked, flaming plane and large parachute caught on the oil pipeline. The weapon case is black and rectangular. It is on the ground next to the crashed vehicle wreckage.
Once you’ve found the weapon case, use the key to unlock it and the weapons inside will be yours.
If you have a full backpack you may need to drop some items to make room for more.
You’re now free to continue exploring Al Mazrah until it’s time for the final exfil or you can extract immediately with your newly acquired loot.
When searching for the weapon case, watch out for Shadow Company soldiers patrolling all around the Sattiq Caves area. Be sure to deal with them so you can reach the case without getting shot.
