Warzone DMZ: How to open locked supply crates

Locked supply crate in DMZ

This guide explains how to open locked supply crates in DMZ.

Season 3 of Warzone 2.0 has introduced the most significant changes to DMZ to date. Whereas previous seasons brought new missions and other slight alterations, Season 3 has overhauled many of the game’s key mechanics.

One such change is the introduction of new contracts for players to complete when they drop in to Al Mazrah and Ashika Island. As part of these contracts, new items and objects can be found around the map including locked supply crates.

Locked supply crates look identical to the regular green army-style caches that have been in DMZ since launch. Normally, you can simply open them and loot whatever goodies are inside. However, these new ones are locked and there’s no key to go with them.

Let’s go over how to open locked supply crates in DMZ…

How to open locked supply crates in DMZ

This is how to open locked supply crates in DMZ:

They are unlocked as part of “Secure Supplies” contracts. Simply start a contract and follow the markers to find the loot caches.

The Secure Supplies contract functions in basically the same way as the original Warzone‘s Scavenger contracts. There are three crates to find and each one must be opened within the time limit. Not only is there valuable loot to find, but there’s the usual monetary reward for completing the contract, too.

It is worth noting that a bug can cause the contract timer to only appear for one player. This means that the contract appears to be active even after the timer runs out. Keep this in mind while trying to complete it.

So, there you have it – now you know how to loot these unique caches in DMZ.
