This Call of Duty: Warzone DMZ guide explains what to do if you can’t deselect a mission and how to fix it.
Season 2 of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 is here at last. It has been a bumpy road for the latest CoD and its battle royale counterpart. But fans are hoping the start of a new season can help reinvigorate things.
Despite the rocky start for MW2 and Warzone 2, most players have been enjoying DMZ. DMZ is Call of Duty‘s take on survival looter-shooter Escape from Tarkov. The mode drops squads of up to three players into random locations around Al Mazrah (as well as newer, smaller maps Building 21 and Ashika Island).
The aim of the game is to collect as much valuable loot and weaponry as you can before extracting within the given time-limit.
Players can also complete contracts, which will give you cash and other rewards in return for completing specific objectives.
Additionally, DMZ features faction missions. These unique quests offer more lucrative prizes (such as keys, blueprints, XP, and more) but include more challenging tasks.
In Season 2, Infinity Ward has reset and revamped faction missions. Missions have been introduced which require players to collect new items and travel between the mode’s maps.
Missions are now much more engaging and fun to complete. This means players are hurtling through them. But some players are encountering an unexpected issue where they seemingly can’t deselect a completed mission in DMZ.
Check out the steps below if you can’t deselect a completed mission in DMZ and want to know how to fix it.
Can’t Deselect Mission In Warzone DMZ & How To Fix It
Thankfully, Infinity Ward has finally made it easier to unlock a second insured weapon slot in Season 2 of DMZ. The difficulty of unlocking the second slot during the previous season was a key complaint, so it’s great to see things have been tweaked.
But it also means players will be racing to complete White Lotus and Legion missions as quickly as possible to unlock Black Mous missions. Once Tier 1 Black Mous story mission has been completed, players will get the second insured slot.
However, you may find that a completed mission remains stuck as one of your three selected missions. That means you can’t switch it out for a new one. Fortunately, this conundrum has a simple solution.
This is what to do if you can’t deselect a mission in Warzone DMZ. To fix this issue, simply select a fourth mission in the “Faction Mission Select” screen. This will replace the completed mission.
And there you have it! The completed mission should have disappeared and you will be able to focus on a new mission instead.
