A brand new season of Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 is coming. Season 4 will arrive on 14th June. Of course, a new season means lots of fresh content. And the latest reports suggest a brand new map is coming to Warzone 2.0. It’s called Vondel. But will the new Vondel map be in DMZ?

The Vondel map is reportedly set in the Netherlands. According to CharlieIntel, the map will be bigger than Ashika Island but smaller than Al Mazrah.

It also appears that Vondel is being developed by Beenox, the company behind Rebirth Island. This will come as positive news to fans, as Rebirth Island is considered to be the best map in Warzone‘s relatively brief history.

We also know that Vondel will be a Resurgence map. But what does that mean for the map’s inclusion in DMZ? After all, Ashika Island is also a Resurgence map and is available to play in DMZ.

Will Vondel be in DMZ?

Will the new Vondel map be in DMZ? Vondel will be included in DMZ at some point in the future, but not initially.

This information comes courtesy of CharlieIntel, whose sources also claim the map will eventually support Battle Royale mode.

Exactly when Vondel will be added to DMZ and Battle Royale is unclear. However, if the map isn’t supported in these modes from the start of Season 4, it’s reasonable to assume it may be added as part of Season 4 Reloaded.

However, this has not been confirmed so take any information regarding potential release dates for Vondel in these modes with a pinch of salt.

When Vondel is added to DMZ, it is likely to make for a refreshing change. DMZ players know Al Mazrah and Ashika Island like the back of their collective hands at this point. And a range of new locations to explore, keys to collect, and missions to complete is sure to be an exciting prospect.

As for how Vondel will be integrated into DMZ, that remains to be seen. But with Season 4 right around the corner, we probably won’t have to wait long to find out.

Update (8th June 2023): Activision has confirmed Vondel will arrive in DMZ at the beginning of Season 4.
