Resurgence remains one of Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0‘s most popular modes. It was introduced as part of Season 2 back in February 2023 and is set on Ashika Island. But with the launch of Season 3, a new Resurgence game mode is coming. It’s called Massive Resurgence.

In standard Resurgence, players fight it out in squads of up to four players on Ashika Island. You do not go to the Gulag when you die. Instead, you enter a cooldown period. Once the timer ends, you will respawn as long as at least one squad member is still alive.

Season 3 will greatly expand this concept and put a new spin on the popular game mode.

What is Massive Resurgence in Warzone 2.0 Season 3?

This is what Massive Resurgence is in Warzone 2.0 Season 3:

Massive Resurgence takes place across the whole Al Mazrah map. It features 150 players in set squad sizes, as confirmed by Activision in a Tactical Overview blog.

The mode does not restrict players to certain areas of Al Mazrah. The entire map will be open for battle in Massive Resurgence.

What this means in practice is that a large number of players will be fighting and respawning at breakneck pace throughout the vast deserts of Al Mazrah.

Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 Season 3 begins on 12 April at 10am PT.
