Warzone 2.0 Season 3 will begin on 12 April 2023. Anticipation for the new season of content is building and fans are excited to check out everything it offers.

Of course, every Call of Duty season introduces a fresh Battle Pass. Season 3 is no exception – but this new Battle Pass will feature an interesting new element.

It’s called BlackCell. And fans are no doubt curious about what exactly it means and how it will impact the Battle Pass as we know it.

What is BlackCell Battle Pass in Warzone 2.0 Season 3?

This is what BlackCell is in Warzone 2.0 Season 3:

It will replace the Battle Pass Bundle which provided players with the full Battle Pass and additional tier skips.

This new Battle Pass offering will cost $29.99 and provide far more than the traditional Battle Pass Bundle. It includes the full Season 3 Battle Pass, tier skips, and exclusive content accessible only to BlackCell customers.

According to the official Call of Duty Season 3 announcement blog, BlackCell includes the following benefits:

  • Access to the full Season 03 Battle Pass and 20 Tier Skips (25 on PlayStation).
  • 1,100 COD Points instantly awarded.
  • Up to 1,400 COD Points awarded throughout the Battle Pass.
  • A BlackCell Operator, attired in an imposing animated Camo skin.
  • A Pro-Tuned Weapon Blueprint, Vehicle Skin, and Finishing Move.
  • An exclusive BlackCell Sector within the Battle Pass AO serves as an alternative starting location.
  • Immediate unlocking of adjacent Battle Pass Sectors to the BlackCell Sector.
  • Additional, BlackCell-only Battle Pass content: Every Season 03 BP Sector with an Operator Skin has a BlackCell variant (12 Skins in total) to unlock.

So, in case you’re wondering, it will be incorporated into the existing Battle Pass and won’t operate separately.

Whether players will gravitate to BlackCell depends on the quality of the content it provides. But there will certainly be plenty for the most passionate CoD players to unlock above and beyond the traditional Battle Pass.
