Call of Duty: Warzone 2 has had a challenging few months. While it is far from dead, some popular streamers are ditching the game and player numbers are slowly falling. However, a brand new season is sure to give Warzone a shot in the arm and pique player interest. And, thankfully, the release date of Warzone 2 Season 3 is right around the corner.

New seasons offer the chance of a fresh start and the opportunity to address lingering issues. That’s exactly what players want right now, in addition to a one-shot sniper rifle of course.

So, what do we know about the launch of Season 3?

Warzone 2 Season 3 release date

Call of Duty: Warzone 2 Season 3 will be released on 12 April 2023. The official Call of Duty and Infinity Ward Twitter accounts have confirmed this date.

It also aligns with the end of the Season 2 battle pass which is due to conclude on 11 April 2023.

FJX Imperium

The FJX Imperium sniper will feature in the upcoming Season 3 battle pass. And yes – the FJX Imperium is the Intervention from 2009’s Modern Warfare 2.

It was revealed during a surprise Season 3 playtest featuring FaZe Dirty. The beloved weapon is sure to be a welcome addition and looks like it could be the one-shot sniper players are desperate for.

Pelayo’s Lighthouse map

In addition to the Intervention (sorry, FJX Imperium) and away from Warzone, a brand new multiplayer map is coming in Season 3.

Pelayo’s Lighthouse is a 6v6 map featuring heavy rain. Curious players can see it for themselves in the clip of FaZe Dirty showing off the FJX Imperium.

We’ll be sure to keep you updated as more Season 3 details are announced.
