This guide explains how to get your loadout in Warzone 2.0.

More than two and half years have passed since the launch of the original Call of Duty: Warzone. Millions of players have passed through Verdansk and Caldera, and thousands of hours have been spent fleeing the dreaded gas. But now Warzone 2.0 has arrived at last – and it has brought some big changes with it.

The revamped battle royale mode introduces a brand-new map. Gone are Verdansk and Caldera. Now fans can look forward to dropping in to Al Mazrah for the first time.

Al Mazrah is set to incorporate many of the locations from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II‘s multiplayer and campaign modes.

Warzone 2.0 will not only give players a new map to explore. It will also introduce a host of new gameplay features.

These include a new 2v2 Gulag, Circle Collapse, new vehicles, and a dedicated 3rd person playlist. On top of that, Warzone 2.0 is also set to feature the brand-new DMZ mode – Call of Duty‘s take on Escape from Tarkov.

Warzone 2.0 is also making some more minor changes to the way things work in battle royale. Many of which players might not even notice for weeks to come.

However, one more significant change is the way in which loadouts are acquired in Warzone 2.0.

Loadouts are made up of a players’ custom weapon classes. In the original Warzone, loadouts could be bought for $10,000 at a buy-station or two team-specific free loadout drops occurred during the course of a game.

But things have changed in the revamped CoD battle royale. So, let’s go over how to get your loadout in Warzone 2.0

How To Get Your Loadout in Warzone 2.0

In case you didn’t know, loadouts are back in Warzone 2.0. However, they work differently in the new game. And there are now three different ways to get your loadout.

Each individual method comes with its own pros and cons, so you and your squad will need to decide what works best for you.

This is how to get your loadout in Warzone 2.0: To get your loadout, players must complete one of the three methods detailed below.

Option 1 – Strongholds

Strongholds are areas filled with AI enemy soldiers. There are 77 possible strongholds in the game; however, only three spawn in at a given time.

When players arrive at a Stronghold they are given an objective. This objective could be to clear out all enemies or to defuse a bomb, for example.

When the objective is complete, players can open a special loot crate that will allow them to pick their custom loadout.

Option 2 – Purchase from a Buy Station

OK – so you could buy a loadout drop from Buy Stations in the original Warzone. However, things are different in Warzone 2.0.

In the new game, players need to visit a Buy Station and tab over to the Primary Weapons tab. Here, players can see and buy all the primary weapons (with attachments) that they have in their custom classes for $5,000 each.

Buying your loadout this way does not include your custom perk packs. So, you’ll be limited to just your unique weapons.

Option 3 – World Drops

Free loadout drops also occurred in the original Warzone. But they were team specific.

In Warzone 2.0 loadouts appear in world drops during the third circle. Like before, they are free. However, every single loadout drop is visible to every team.

This makes the strategy around world drops completely different. Seeing one is no longer a guarantee that an enemy team is nearby. Similarly, going to one could also be much safer or much more dangerous than it was before.

And there you have it – now you know how to get your loadout in Warzone 2.0.
