Music from the unreleased Grand Theft Auto V ‘Agent Trevor’ DLC has been shared online, reminding us all how disappointing it is that we never got single-player DLC for the game.

A full single-player expansion for Grand Theft Auto V has been sought after by fans ever since the game came out back in 2013. Despite being announced in December that year, the DLC never materialised and was cancelled in 2017.

On X, Grand Theft Auto fanpage GTA Focal shared a video with the track, ‘Clifford’, which comes from music group Sweet Valley. The group previously produced music for GTA 5, so it makes sense that they would be brought in to make music for DLC.

The track, which was originally released on the group’s Patreon, shares its name with an NPC from The Doomsday Heist in GTA Online. This is significant because content from the cancelled single-player DLC was later used for GTA Online expansions.

Earlier this year, Steven Ogg, the actor who portrays Trevor, explained that the so-called ‘Agent Trevor’ DLC would see GTA 5‘s wild protagonist go undercover with the FIB. He added that despite shooting stuff for the expansion, “it just disappeared” and was never followed-up on.

All these years later, it remains incredibly disappointing that we never got to enjoy single-player DLC for GTA V like we did with Grand Theft Auto IV. The Lost and Damned and The Ballad of Gay Tony are regarded as two all-time classic expansions, so it’s a real shame we never got that with GTA V.
