How to play Octordle Daily Sequence
Play Daily Sequence by guessing eight five-letter words. To win, you must correctly guess each word within fifteen guesses.
After each guess, the game will reveal which letters were correct. In the standard version, correct letters are revealed for all eight words. In Daily Sequence, this only applies to your current word.
A green letter means you got the correct letter in the right place. A yellow letter means you got the correct letter but in the wrong place. No colour means that the letter is incorrect.
If a letter does not appear in any of the eight words, it will be removed from the keyboard after use.
Top Tips
These tips will help you to guess the words as quickly as possible:
- Use a word with a lot of vowels for your first guess: my personal favourite is “irate”. This is important as getting the correct vowels is crucial when it comes to guessing the word.
- Always refer back to the yellow or green letters as you play – this will prevent you from wasting a guess using a letter that you know is excluded.
- However, if you can’t think of anything without an already excluded letter, it can help to use that word to reveal other letters that could be included. It can be a useful gamble.
- Keep an eye on the keyboard – the letters you’ve already used correctly will be highlighted.
