Naughty Dog has released the first patch for The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered on PS5 – version 1.000.050.

The company announced its release via a post on X (formerly Twitter) on 24 January. “A patch for The Last of Us Part II Remastered is now available”, Naughty Dog said.

The patch primarily focuses on fixing a bug related to earning bonus points in the game.

While no official patch notes have been released for version 1.000.050, Naughty Dog did provide a brief summary on X. Here’s what the new patch fixed:

“A patch for The Last of Us Part II Remastered is now available, fixing an issue where bonus points were not correctly being awarded for earning trophies, including those earned from imported PS4 saves. After updating your game, points should be properly allocated automatically.”

Given the near-perfect state The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered launched in, it should come as no surprise that the patch included only minor fixes.

We’ve spent the last few days playing through TLOU2 Remastered and its new No Return roguelike mode.

While it isn’t quite the leap some may have been hoping for, it is certainly the definitive way to experience one of the finest games ever made. And it’ll only get better if Naughty Dog continue to polish it with updates like this.
