Tekken 8‘s online Ranked Mode is about as competitive as gaming gets. It’s a test of skill and determination and puts all your Tekken knowledge to the test. But there’s one area that players are confused about. And that’s Performance Stats and their meanings in Tekken 8.
These stats are displayed on player cards while a match is loading in Ranked Mode. They can also be seen in Tekken 8‘s other online game modes.
A player’s individual Performance Stats are assigned a letter grade, indicating the player’s proficiency in that area. The highest grade is S+, and coming up against an S+ graded opponent can be pretty intimidating.
But Tekken 8 doesn’t do a great job of explaining what these stats actually mean.
Performance Stats categories
Performance Stats are split into five categories. They are as follows:
- Attack
- Defense
- Technique
- Spirit
- Appeal
Each category has a maximum score of 100, which is split across four stats. This means there are 25 points for each category’s individual stats.
You are awarded your letter grade based on your stat total out of 25.

With that being said, they do provide a general indication of what the stats mean. Therefore, if there’s an area you’re keen to improve on in Tekken 8, we recommend using this as a guide.
Given that the game hasn’t been out for long, we should get a clearer picture of Performance Stats and their individual meanings over the coming months as players gain more experience.
