This Tekken 8 guide explains how to fight a player’s ghost (“All is Vanity” trophy).

With the long-awaited arrival of Tekken 8 comes an influx of new and returning players, and it’s safe to say this game may be the franchise’s best instalment.

It’s also a treat for trophy hunters, offering a surprisingly easy platinum for those who want to earn it.

But that doesn’t mean its trophy list is particularly self-explanatory or easy to understand. Some trophy requirements may not make sense, particularly for anyone new to the series.

The “All is Vanity” trophy is an example of this, which tasks players with defeating another player’s ghost.

Ghosts are CPU-controlled versions of a real player’s character. They imitate the player’s fighting style and techniques, and are a fun way of practicing for Ranked Matches.

But how exactly do you fight against another player’s ghost? Well, we’ve earned this trophy for ourselves and it’s fairly straightforward.

We’ve detailed all of the necessary steps below.

How to fight a player’s ghost in Tekken 8 (“All is Vanity” trophy)

To fight a player’s ghost, select “Tekken Fight Lounge” in the Online section of the Main Menu.

Once you arrive in the Fight Lounge, you should see numerous players all around you.

Simply approach another player and interact with them. A menu will appear providing an overview of who they are and their stats, as well as a number of different options.

Select “Ghost Match”. This will begin a battle against that player’s ghost.
