This Tekken 8 guide explains how to add friends in-game, including crossplay.
Tekken 8 is arguably the best the series has ever been – we certainly think so. It has lots of exciting content for players to experience, including an action-packed story mode and fun Arcade Quest.
Naturally, once you’ve got the hang of things, you’ll want to take the action online. Thankfully, Tekken 8‘s online modes are also excellent.
It includes crossplay, meaning you can fight players on other platforms if you choose to have the feature enabled. You can also build an exclusive Tekken 8 friends list, just for the players you meet in the Fight Lounge and during online battles.
This is a great way of keeping in touch with players that you encounter and have fun with. However, the game doesn’t actually explain how to add friends in Tekken 8.
Having played our fair share of multiplayer in Tekken 8, allow us to explain how you do it.
How to add friends in Tekken 8
Adding friends in Tekken 8 varies depending on which game mode you are in. Let’s go through some of the different ways you can do it:
- To add a friend in the Tekken Fight Lounge, approach another player and press X/A to view their profile. Select “Tekken 8 Friend Request”.
- You can add a friend after a Ranked Match by selecting “Profile” in the post-match screen and choosing “Tekken 8 Friend Request”.
- You can also add friends in the Replay mode by selecting an online match replay and choosing “Show P2 profile”. This will give you the option to send a “Tekken 8 Friend Request”.
And there you have it – that’s how to add friends quickly and easily, no matter which game mode you are in.
