Stray is finally here after months of anticipation. And it hasn’t disappointed.
The new game from BlueTwelve Studio and Annapurna Interactive delivers a puzzle packed adventure where you control a cat on his mission to reunite with his family.
He joins up with robot drone B-12 and the two must work together to open a sealed city and save its robot inhabitants.
Stray offers everything you could want from a game where you play as a cat. Run, jump, scratch – it’s all here. And it’s great fun.
The cat’s adventure in Stray involves solving puzzles every step of the way. However, some are easy while others can leave you stuck and testing the limits of your brain power.
One of the bigger puzzles you need to solve is finding all the Outsider notebooks for Momo.
They are located all around The Slums area and are difficult to find when you don’t know your way around.

Where to Find Notebooks in Stray
The Slums area in Stray is where you will find all the notebooks.
They can be found in the flats/apartments that formerly belonged to the robots who ventured to the outside.
All Notebook Locations in Stray
This is where to find the notebooks in Stray:
- The first one is given to you by Momo.
- The second one (Clementine’s) can be found in Clementine’s apartment directly opposite Momo’s (look for the outsider face symbol). Jump through the open window, head into the back room, turn left into another small room. Collect it from the desk next to the computer monitor at the far end.
- The third (Doc’s) is found inside a safe in his flat. From Momo’s, head past the sleeping Robot outside. Jump onto the roof with the sofa just after the robot. Then go onto a balcony with the blue Outsider sign. Head through the small gap. Turn right once inside, then left, then the second left. Head down this aisle flanked by bookcases. Half-way down is a stack of books on your left. Jump on these to knock them over. The safe is behind them. Facing the safe, turn left around the corner. On your right is a stack of books in a doorway. Jump through. On the bed on the right is a note. Read this and you will obtain the key. Return to the safe and use the key to open it.
- The fourth notebook, Zbaltazar’s, is located in a flat directly above the main square with one of the blue Outsider signs. To get inside, unplug the ventilation power unit on the roof then drop down through the fan. Inside, jump on top of boxes to reveal Zbaltazar’s notebook hidden inside.
You will now have all the notebooks in your possession.
