Stray: How To Run

How to run in Stray

This Stray guide explains how to run in the game.

Stray is finally here after months of anticipation. And it hasn’t disappointed.

The new game from BlueTwelve Studio and Annapurna Interactive delivers a puzzle packed adventure where you control a cat on his mission to reunite with his family.

He joins up with robot drone B-12 and the two must work together to open a sealed city and save its robot inhabitants.

Stray offers everything you could want from a game where you play as a cat. Run, jump, scratch – it’s all here. And it’s great fun.

The cat’s adventure in Stray involves solving puzzles every step of the way. Some are easy while others can leave you stuck and testing the limits of your brain power.

However, first thing’s first. You need to wrap your head around the controls.

Probably the first thing you will want to know how to do is how to run…

How to run in Stray

Cats are known for their speed. Yet, when you first start playing Stray you are limited to walking.

Thankfully, it is possible to run in the game. In fact, you need to use it to get past the main enemies – Zurks – whenever you encounter them.

This is how to run in Stray: To run in Stray, hold R2 on PS4 and PS5.

Be careful, though. The cat is more difficult to control when he is running. If you turn suddenly, he will skid just like a real cat. Just ensure you aren’t getting too close to any steep drops while running.

And there you have it! You are now able to zip past enemies with ease.
