Starfield: How to get The Mutineer, Vladimir’s OP pistol

The Mutineer pistol in Starfield

This guide explains how to get The Mutineer (Vladimir’s OP pistol) in Starfield.

I’ve spent a lot of time in Starfield collecting weapons. Right from the off, I found myself picking up almost every new one I came across. But the truth is that some are significantly better than others.

As I progressed in the game, I realised that picking up every gun isn’t really a viable strategy. Like Fallout and Skyrim before it, it is really easy to get over-cumbered in Starfield. And that has meant that I’ve had to make some tough decisions when it comes to which weapons to collect.

My advice would be to pick a handful of your best weapons to keep on you at all times. For me, one of those weapons is The Mutineer pistol which I’ve found to be ridiculously overpowered.

This pistol, which belongs to Constellation member Vladimir, packs a massive punch with 219 damage. This is more than enough to one or two shot most enemies, especially early on in the game.

So, let’s go over how to get The Mutineer pistol in Starfield.

This is how I got The Mutineer pistol in Starfield: I retrieved this incredibly powerful pistol from Vladimir’s house after visiting The Eye space station for the first time as part of the main story. The only requirement to get the pistol is Rank 1 of the Security skill.

Once I got to The Eye, I spoke to Vladimir and then chose the following dialogue option when it became available: “So you’re retired from the Crimson Fleet. Didn’t know that happened.”

I was then given an Activity marker to visit Vladimir’s house on Syrma VII-a in the Syrma system.

When I looked at the star map, I learned that Syrma VII-a is quite far away on the right side of the galaxy. This meant I had to jump across the stars to reach the Syrma system.

After arriving at Vladimir’s house, I headed downstairs and picked the Advanced lock on the door to Vlad’s office.

On the desk, I found The Mutineer pistol which is unquestionably one of the best in the game. To the left, I also picked up the Bashing Suppressed Advanced Coachman which packs a whopping 264 damage.
