This guide explains how to get arrows in Sons of the Forest.
Crafting is central to your survival in Sons of the Forest, especially when it comes to weapons. One such weapon is the bow. But obviously you need arrows to go with it. Thankfully, there are a number of ways to get them in Sons of the Forest.
The bow is undoubtedly one of the best long-distance weapons in Sons of the Forest. While guns are nice to have and offer a sense of reassurance, the bow is the most accessible option you have for defending yourself at a distance.
Unlike guns – which make use of hard-to-find ammo – getting arrows for your bow is much easier. In fact, there are a few different types for you to use. This makes running out of them unlikely.
The weakest type of arrow is the craftable Stone Arrow. The mid-tier option is the 3D Printed Arrow. And finally there’s the lethal but rare Carbon Fibre Arrow.
So, let’s go over how to get arrows in Sons of the Forest…
How To Get Arrows in Sons of the Forest
As mentioned, there are a number of ways to obtain arrows in Sons of the Forest. Once you have them, they are an invaluable weapon against the enemies you face. One well placed shot to the head can be all it takes.
Even better, they can be reused by looting them from the bodies of slain foes or from the ground.
This is how to get arrows in Sons of the Forest:
1 – Crafting: Stone Arrows can be crafted using 4 Rocks, 4 Small Rocks, 2 Sticks, and 2 Feathers.
2 – 3D Printing: Arrows can be created using a 3D printer like the one inside the bunker as shown on the map below. 50ml of printer resin produces 5.
3 – Looting: Arrows can be found around the world and looted from containers. The bunker on the map above is one such place. This is the only way to get the effective Carbon Fibre variant.
Once you have them, simply equip the bow and draw an arrow by right-clicking. If you want to change the type of arrow you are using, aim down to the floor and press ‘R’ to swap arrow type.
