The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is the game that keeps on giving. Even after all these years, thousands of players return to the game every single day. One such player has encountered a gigantic cow right in the middle of the map – and they have no idea why.

Posting to Reddit, u/NSJIJZP took a picture of the cow they found in their game. Its size cannot be understated. It towers above surrounding trees and hills, and would make even a dragon look small by comparison.

To accompany the image of the huge bovine, the Skyrim player asked for help in identifying where the cow came from suspecting that a mod was the culprit.

Mods are great things. They can be used to add unique player creations to the game, patch bugs, and much more. However, they regularly result in issues that are normally performance related. In this case, it seemed like a mod had spawned the colossal cow that was occupying the middle of the map.

In the comments, one user identified the mod DyndoLOD as the cause of the “holy cow”.

“It’s DyndoLOD, you selected the option “Holy Cow” in the installer. It does nothing,” wrote u/Beautiful_Solid3787.

“Nothing? It adds the holy cow! (and checks if the player installing the mod is actually reading the instructions),” replied another user.

Clearly, OP wasn’t reading the instructions when they installed the mod because it sure sounds like they had no idea they were adding the holy cow into their game.

Personally, I think the holy cow is pretty cool. I say the player should leave him be.
