This guide explains where to find the Savage Mutt in Resident Evil 4 remake.
Resident Evil 4 remake is an incredible reimagining of the 2005 classic. It builds on everything that game did so right and brings it into the modern era by introducing fresh elements.
In the remake, there are a number of side quests for players to complete. These are called “Requests”. In one request – A Savage Mutt – players are tasked with hunting a distinctive wild dog that’s roaming around the village.
But where can players find this dangerous creature? The request’s description drops a hint but this is conflicted by the request’s noted area. Therefore, locating it isn’t quite as simple as you might expect.
Where to find Savage Mutt in Resident Evil 4 remake
This is where to find the Savage Mutt in Resident Evil 4 remake:
First, go to Village Chief’s Manor. If you check your map, you will see a map marker for “A Savage Mutt” indicating it is there. However, when you explore the manor, the wild dog won’t be there.
Leave the manor and you will spot the Savage Mutt behind the Insignia gate which leads back to the Village Square. It will run off when you approach it. The dog will then move to the Village Square as indicated by its map marker.
Make your way back to the Village Square and you will soon see the mutated dog. It can quickly dodge attacks and strike from a distance thanks to the large tentacle protruding from its back.
The most effective way to kill it is to throw a flash grenade. This will knock it over. Then you can approach it and finish it off while it is down using your knife.
Once you’ve defeated the Savage Mutt, you will be rewarded with eight Spinels when you return to the Merchant.
