Resident Evil 4: How to solve stone dais in Large Cave Shrine

Stone Dais in Large Cave Shrine in Resident Evil 4

This guide explains how to solve the stone dais puzzle in the Large Cave Shrine.

Chapter 4 of Resident Evil 4 is all about obtaining the Church Insignia key so you can get inside the church to find the President’s daughter, Ashley. To get the key, you need to sail across the lake and visit two different cave shrines. Each one contains its own stone dais puzzle.

The stone dais puzzles are essentially passcode locks. They each have eight buttons marked with unique symbols. You need to press the correct three-button combination to unlock the adjacent door. The one at the Large Cave Shrine contains the Apostate’s Head. It must be placed on one of the two stone hands inside the Mural Cave.
