Rumours of a PC version of the original Red Dead Redemption have been swirling for months. Now, a new Epic Games data leaks has seemingly confirmed its existence and install size.

The leak comes from a new website, EpicDB, which details each title, as well as relevant information and statistics, listed on the Epic Games Store. Similar to SteamDB, the website revealed a raft of games that had been added to the database’s backend.

Among the titles attributed to Rockstar Games is ‘Semla’. According to Rockstar news source @videotechuk_, ‘Semla’ is the codename for Red Dead Redemption.

The information shows that the mysterious title was added to the Epic Games database on 1 February, 2024. It also reveals a download size of 9.17 GB install size of 10.30 GB.

Last month, another dataminer uncovered promotional material that suggested a PC release of Red Dead Redemption was on the horizon. Coupled with this new leak, it’s starting to seem increasingly likely.

Red Dead Redemption first came out for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in 2010. It is set after the events of Red Dead Redemption 2, and follows John Marston as he attempts to track down the members of his former gang and its leader, Dutch Van Der Linde.

Some unannounced/unreleased titles such as ‘Bloodborne Remake’, Grand Theft Auto VI, and ‘Elden Ring 2’ were also found; however, it should be noted that they were all attributed to the same ‘owner’, making it highly unlikely that they are real. This is because anyone can publish on the Epic Games Store for free. Once added, EpicDB will pick up the data whether it’s legitimate or not.

As of writing, Rockstar has not officially confirmed that ‘Selma’ is, in fact, a PC version of Red Dead Redemption.
