Last month, Sony launched the revamped and tiered PlayStation Plus service. The new offering rivals Microsoft’s GamePass by bringing together a huge number of games under one subscription service.
Thus far, reception has been pretty lukewarm. The service certainly has some top titles – but many of those were in the free collection that coincided with the PS5’s launch. Still, some subscribers are really happy with the offering.
Others argue that the catalogue isn’t as strong as GamePass which delivers brand new titles on release. Admittedly, PlayStation Plus Extra & Premium are lacking newer games like Horizon Forbidden West and Gran Turismo 7.
Still, these things develop and grow with time. And with the revamped PS Plus entering its second month, Sony are adding in some new and some much-loved older titles in July.
Let’s take a look at what’s coming to PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium this month…
What are the PlayStation Plus tiers?
The new PlayStation Plus is split into three tiers.
Essential is required for online multiplayer and includes monthly free games. (£6.99/$9.99)
Extra provides access to a large catalogue of PS4 and PS5 games. (£10.99/$14.99)
And, finally, Premium additionally includes access to PS1, PS2, PS3, and PSP games, as well as time limited game trials. (£13.49/$17.99)
PlayStation Plus Extra New Games For July
Subscribers to PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium are set to receive a raft of new games this month.
The biggest of which is Stray, which will appear on the service alongside its normal release on July 19th.

In Stray, you take control of a cat who has been separated from his family and is lost in a city populated by robots. Stray is a third-person adventure game set in a cyberpunk open world.
