A Call of Duty player has set a new Zombies world record after surviving for an incredible 11,843 rounds.
British Twitch streamer UniiQuee set the record while live on stream. It reportedly took him four and a half days (precisely 105 hours, 29 minutes and one second) to achieve the mind-boggling feat. He did it in Call of Duty: World at War on the fan-favourite Shi No Numa map and can be seen holding the Wunderwaffe DG-2.
With a grin and look of disbelief, UniiQuee muttered a brief countdown as the 11843rd round came to end before shouting and clapping in victory. He then enters a loading screen and the game resets to round one – he can be heard saying to himself “Oh my god… Unbelievable.”
As Call of Duty fans will know, there are now many different iterations of Zombies across multiple games. They each have their own maps, characters, mechanics, guns, and more. Zombies was first released in 2008 as part of Call of Duty: World at War on PS3, Xbox 360, Wii, and PC.
It was an immediate hit with players who quickly took to the revolutionary round-based survival mode. In most versions of Zombies (notably excluding Modern Warfare 3‘s recent open-world variant), players start with only a pistol.
Allowing cooperative play for up to four players, you must work together in the mode to pool resources and tactically eliminate the undead. Along the way, you and your squad must build fortifications, acquire better weapons, and use Perk-a-Colas to improve your chances of survival.
Zombies also boasts a complex lore that has attracted a legion of dedicated fans. Like the mode itself, its storyline spans multiple games and time periods.
Ever since it was first released, CoD fans have competed to climb the mode’s leaderboards and survive the longest. Now, in 2024, 16 years after World at War‘s release, UniiQuee can proudly say that he holds the Call of Duty Zombies world record.
