A new leak has supposedly revealed the official title of the next Call of Duty game, which is currently in development by Treyarch.

With the launch of Modern Warfare III Season 3 Reloaded, CoD fans have been on the look out for clues regarding the upcoming game (codenamed Cerberus).

Rumours have long hinted that the new Call of Duty will be called Black Ops Gulf War. However, a datamined weapon blueprint in MW3 and Warzone suggests the game’s title will be Black Ops 6.

The blueprint – which appears to be a Call of Duty 2024 announcement reward – is called “Steel” and features the word “SALLY” along with six tallies.

Handguns with the word “SALLY” engraved on the side have been featured on previous Black Ops box arts. However, this is the first version of the weapon to feature six tallies rather than eight which strongly implies the next game will be called Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.

As previously reported by The Verge, an in-depth reveal of the next CoD is apparently set for the Xbox Showcase on 9th June.

This will be followed by a Call of Duty Direct event, as teased in a tweet from the official Xbox account on X which included a poster featuring a three-headed dog (otherwise known as a Cerberus – get it?).

Players were also able to datamine a Frank Woods operator for MW3 and Warzone, which could be a pre-order bonus for the next game. Furthermore, references to “s3_cerberus_reveal” have been found in Call of Duty files following the Season 3 Reloaded update. This suggests some kind of reveal may happen this month.

Additionally, a Call of Duty x Fallout crossover appears to be coming in the near future.

No official release date Black Ops 6 has been confirmed, however fans can reasonably expect the game to launch in the typical October/November window.
