The new Call of Duty: Warzone only arrived a few days ago; however, players are already complaining that the intro cutscene is getting annoying.
As always, Warzone players have been voicing their opinions on the latest iteration of the game online. While feedback has been mostly positive (thanks to the faster movement and the Urzikstan map), players have been voicing some complaints.
While most of these complaints are directed at the game itself, one thing that some players have taken an issue with is the intro cutscene that plays when you enter a match.
Until now, every previous iteration of the game saw players enter the war zone by jumping out of a plane in a fairly simple intro.
In the new game, the cutscene shows squads readying up by collecting their parachutes and receiving a briefing from Phillip Graves (one of the main characters in the Modern Warfare story).
Posting on X, @TheGhostOfHope wrote: “CAN THEY PLEASE GET RID OF THIS STUPID WARZONE INTRO ALREADY”. This garnered 2.5k likes and a variety of responses that ranged from players agreeing to those saying they actually enjoy the new intro.
User @redfoxm18 said: “Yeah first time was fine but now I just want to skip it every time. I pull up the map and plan my where [sic] I’m going now during that time.”
@ReinenChaos wrote: “This is on par with the intros to the MP maps, like so much wasted resources on something that has no impact on the game what so ever and it’s so needless”.
Others were more positive. “wym? dont you wana know you drop in with a parachute for the 3rd year in a row?”, wrote @_thww. @The_Astriix said “… I like it” and received 188 likes from other X users.
@PabloB_C said the inclusion of Graves makes it an improvement over the previous intro. “I prefer it instead of the same plane intro we’ve had for a while. Plus it has Graves which makes it 10x better.”
