Stellar Entertainment has hinted that they are working on an upcoming racing game that could be a new Burnout title.

The developer, which has offices in the United Kingdom and the Netherlands, has previously been involved with the development of Need for Speed Unbound, Burnout Paradise Remastered, and Need for Speed: Remastered.

On 29 January, Stellar Entertainment’s official X account posted a cryptic tease about their upcoming game with an image that contained the text, “POV: You’re about to be rear ended”.

Alongside the image, they wrote: “Our way of giving you (kinda weird) insider intel about what we’re working on, without actually telling you what we’re working on… And the bosses *still* haven’t issued any take downs! Happy days!”

The references to being rear ended and take downs seem point to a new or remade Burnout game, with those elements being key features of previous titles in the series. Burnout 3 also carried the subtitle “Takedown”.

X users responded with many speculating that the post did indeed hint at a Burnout game.

“Yo if it’s Burnout 3 remaster I’m gonna die,” wrote one user.

“Hopefully a new Burnout. If it is I hope they stay true to the pop punk soundtracks of the past,” said another.

Stellar Entertainment are currently recruiting for the game. Their official website states that they are, “Accepting new crew members” for a “AAA arcade racing title” that is “Disrupting the racing scene” and will be built in Unreal Engine 5.

In a previous post on X, Stellar offered another enigmatic tease. “I am *loving* your tunnel,” read the image. Burnout 3 was known for having tunnels as a key feature in some of their race courses.
