This guide explains why the MX Guardian Dragon’s Breath ammunition is blocked in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II and how to fix it.
The MX Guardian is a brand new, fully-automatic shotgun introduced in Season 4 Reloaded of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II and Warzone 2.0. The latest mid-season update is relatively light on new content (aside from a crossover with Amazon’s The Boys), which makes this extremely powerful shotgun one of its standout features.
The shotgun is highly effective at close range and capable of delivering double and triple kills with ease when taking on groups of enemies.
While this weapon works well even without attachments, you will undoubtedly want to kit it out properly to get the most out of it.
Prior to the MX Guardian’s release, the KV Broadside was widely considered to be Modern Warfare II and Warzone 2.0‘s shotgun meta. When paired with Dragon’s Breath ammunition, it’s undeniably lethal.
In case you don’t know, Dragon’s Breath ammunition is made of a magnesium pellets that set enemy players on fire. This deals incredible amounts of damage over time. Its gunfire resembles a flamethrower.
Therefore, the prospect of pairing the full-auto MX Guardian with this ammunition is exciting for players.
However, if you’ve tried to equip the MX Guardian with Dragon’s Breath ammo, you’ve probably noticed it’s “blocked” and you’re unable to attach it.
How to fix blocked MX Guardian Dragon’s Breath ammunition
To equip the Dragon’s Breath ammunition, you must first equip the Burst-fire Trigger under ‘Trigger Action’ in gunsmith.
The Burst-fire Trigger removes the MX Guardian’s full-auto capability but makes it compatible with High Grain Ammunition, i.e. Dragon’s Breath.
While this may sound like a significant compromise, the MX Guardian will instead be capable of burst fire which is deadly when paired with Dragon’s Breath.
