This Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III Zombies (MWZ) guide explains how to get the Legacy’s Fortress keycard.

Zombies is back in MW3 and it delivers a fresh take on the familiar mode. Based on Modern Warfare II‘s DMZ mode, MWZ is more of a looter shooter than the round-based survival game we’re used to.

But it still features plenty of easter eggs and unique features that you won’t find anywhere else in Call of Duty. When you first start exploring Urzikstan, you will see that there are a lot of new map markers. One of these is Legacy’s Fortress in the north of the map.

The fortress is heavily guarded by mercenaries which makes it incredibly difficult to penetrate. They even have an Attack Helo which is ready to fire on you the second you get close.

However, if you do manage to get inside, there is a locked building which contains some valuable goodies. This requires a specific keycard to access.

So, let’s take a look at how to get the Legacy’s Fortress keycard in Modern Warfare III Zombies (MWZ).

This is how to get the Legacy’s Fortress keycard in Modern Warfare III Zombies (MWZ): The keycard can be looted from safes inside any of the Mercenary Strongholds dotted around Urzikstan.

To get inside the strongholds, you must either buy a Mercenary Stronghold keycard from a buy station for $2000 or find it at a Mercenary Camp or on a convoy.

Mercenary Strongholds are contain a significant number of enemy soldiers. This makes it easy to get overwhelmed. However, this pales in comparison to the highly fortified Legacy’s Fortress.

Once you’ve eliminated all soldiers inside a Stronghold, head to the top floor and look for a safe. Begin drilling it and survive the reinforcement wave to collect the keycard. You will also get yourself a handy three-plate vest!
