MW3‘s Zombies mode is an open-world experience. It is also an extraction-based looter shooter that bears many similarities to DMZ.
As such, the focus of Zombies in MW3 is on completing missions, searching for better loot and weapons, and completing missions. The mode also features a number of rare items and upgrades that are valuable and can make things easier for you.
This includes aether tools, aetherium crystals, perk-a-colas, ammo mods, and wonder weapons. These are usually acquired by completing contracts and missions, killing powerful enemies, and looting. However, you can also acquire schematics for these items that allow you to craft them.
That means you can deploy into Urzikstan with these items already in your rucksack and ready to use. But, if you’re new to Zombies, you may be wondering exactly how to get schematics.
Where to find schematics in MW3 Zombies
This is where to find schematics in MW3 Zombies:
Schematics will be given at random for completing contracts in-game. Once a contract has been completed, go to the reward rift. Inside the rift will be a selection of random rewards – this may include a schematic.
Unfortunately, there is no guarantee you will receive a schematic for completing contracts. It is highly likely that you will need to complete multiple contracts in Zombies before you will be rewarded with a schematic. Similarly, you may find that you receive the same schematic multiple times.
There is currently no sure-fire method of unlocking every schematic. You simply need to grind contracts and hope to receive them as a reward.
It is worth noting that contracts in higher threat zones (marked on the map in orange and red) should provide more valuable rewards. Therefore, you should complete contracts in those areas if you are keen to unlock all the schematics as quickly as possible.
