This Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III (MW3) guide details the location of the large backpack and explains how to get one in Zombies.

In MW3 Zombies (MWZ), the focus has shifted away from fighting wave after wave of the undead. Instead, players deploy into the huge Urzikstan map and must scavenge for weapons and equipment while fighting hordes of zombies and completing missions.

As looting is such an important part of the mode, players are given backpacks (called “rucksacks” in-game). You begin with a small backpack, but medium and large backpacks are also available.

These upgraded backpacks allow you to collect and extract more gear and items. That makes them some of MWZ’s most important pieces of equipment.

Getting your hands on a medium backpack is pretty straightforward. They can be found fairly regularly in loot caches and are purchasable at buy stations.

But what about large backpacks? How do you get them and where can they be found?

Large backpacks are very rare. They can be found inside loot caches throughout Urzikstan, however they appear at random.

That means there is no guarantee of finding a large backpack and no specific method for acquiring one.

If you want a large backpack in MW3 Zombies, your best bet is to simply check as many loot caches as possible. Caches in the orange and red zones on the map tend to reward more valuable loot, so it’s also worth heading into those areas.
