This Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III (MW3) guide explains how to find and defeat Dokkaebi in Zombies.
Season 1 Reloaded of Call of Duty: Warzone and MW3 is here. It got off to a rocky start on the Warzone side of things, so there’s a good chance that many players dived into Zombies instead to check out what’s new.
Unfortunately, Zombies didn’t receive much in the way of new content as part of Season 1 Reloaded. We detailed exactly what’s included in the update yesterday.
The only major addition to Zombies in Season 1 Reloaded is a new warlord – Dokkaebi. Warlords are essentially human bosses.
Prior to Season 1 Reloaded, the only warlord was “Legacy” Baranov who could be found in Legacy’s Fortress.
With the addition of Dokkaebi, players have another boss to take on. She is based on top of a skyscraper in Zaravan City and is guarded by soldiers, turrets, and drones.
We’ve already found and defeated Dokkaebi ourselves, so we’ll walk you though all the steps in the guide below.
Where to find Dokkaebi in MW3 Zombies
Dokkaebi is located inside Dokkaebi’s Fortress, which is at the top of a skyscraper in central Zaravan City. The skyscraper can be found at map coordinates D7 and Dokkaebi’s Fortress has its own map marker, as shown in the image below.
Before you head there, we recommend first cracking a safe at a Mercenary Stronghold to get the Dokkaebi Fortress Keycard.
While it is not essential to get the keycard to kill Dokkaebi, it will enable you to unlock any locked doors you find in the fortress.
Once you have the keycard, make your way to the roof of the skyscraper next to Dokkaebi’s Fortress on its northwest side (map coordinates D6, see the screenshot below).
On the roof, there is a horizontal zipline you can use to reach Dokkaebi’s Fortress quickly and easily.
How to defeat Dokkaebi in MW3 Zombies
Once you arrive in the fortress, you will be immediately attacked by mercenaries, bomb drones, and sentry turrets.
Therefore, you should go in prepared. Make sure you have a three-plate armour vest, self-revive, the appropriate Perk-a-Colas, Pack-a-Punched weapons, and all the other good stuff.
After disembarking the zipline, climb over the stack of wooden pallets in front of you. Immediately to your right is a sentry turret – destroy it.
Deal with any soldiers and bomb drones in the area and go right across the bridge at the centre of the skyscraper. Mercenaries with shields will attack you, so cautiously take them out.
Once you reach the other side of the bridge, go right up some stairs to the top of the skyscraper. The number of enemies will increase here and choppers will deploy more of them into the area.
Use the room at the top of the stairs to resupply (using the ammo cache) and for cover as you fight the soldiers outside.
There are numerous sentry turrets on nearby roofs, so try to disable those first. While fighting, you should spot Dokkaebi and hear her shouting things.
She will be using a group of glowing blue bomb drones to fly around the area and escape if needed. Once you have cleared this area of the roof, head to its north east side.
Dokkaebi will likely be flying around here and shooting her will cause her to flee again. Kill any soldiers that attack and follow her by heading to the east side of the roof.
Here you will face a huge onslaught of soldiers, drones, and sentry guns. So take your time fighting them. Dokkaebi will stop flying here and shoot you – she is marked with a red marker.
Keep shooting her at every opportunity and she will eventually die.
Rewards
A reward rift will appear which contains some half-decent loot, including the Mediator blueprint. My reward rift contained the Mediator, a gas mask, an LT53 Kazimir, and an epic aether tool.
And that’s it – that’s how to defeat Dokkaebi, the new warlord in MW3 Zombies as part of Season 1 Reloaded.
