A Call of Duty leaker has claimed that Season 2 of Modern Warfare III (MW3) and Warzone will feature 78 new operator skins.
@CODWarfareForum, a Call of Duty news page and data miner, shared screenshots of game code that seemingly reveals the new content.
The account has a history of leaking information about Call of Duty games and seasonal updates, lending validity to the claims. It’s worth noting, however, the screenshots provided don’t account for all of the supposed new skins.
While there are no details about what the skins will look like, CODWarfareForum’s leak does seem to reveal which operators the skins will be available for.
According to the leak, fans can expect new skins for operators including Ghost, Price, Soap, Makarov, Farah, Valeria, and Nolan.
Interestingly, the leak also appears to reveal new operators coming in Season 2. Included in the list is the name “Laswell”, as well as numerous unidentified skins for “alpha”, “bravo”, “beta”, “echo”, “golf”, “hotel”, “judo”, “mike”, “maestro”, “november”, “oscar”, “papa”, “quebec”, “whiskey”, “zulu”, and others.
It appears that these words are being used to disguise the names of existing and/or unannounced operators for Season 2, although that remains to be seen.
Call of Duty and Activision are currently receiving both criticism and praise on social media for the state of MW3 and Warzone‘s operator skins.
Earlier this week, Activision released the divisive rubber duck skin as part of the Wildlife Wanted: Rubber Duck pack.
Available for 1,800 COD Points, it is the latest in a long line of pricey Call of Duty operator skins that are upsetting fans of military realism.
However, with 78 skins now rumoured for Season 2, there should be plenty of choice to keep everyone happy.
As always, we recommend taking leaks with a pinch of salt until an official announcement is made by Activision.
