This Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III (MW3) guide explains how to open the stuck door in the northern office building in the Reactor mission.
Those who pre-ordered Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III got the special privilege of eight-days early access to its campaign. Naturally, fans wasted no time getting stuck into the action.
Modern Warfare III once again sees players assume control of Task Force 141 members. The main focus of the game is the hunt for returning villain Vladimir Makarov and the ongoing battle against his Konni Group forces. While Call of Duty campaigns have historically been associated with exciting on-the-rails missions and jaw-dropping action sequences, MW3 departs from this familiar formula.
The campaign now predominantly features dynamic “open combat” missions. These grant players the freedom to approach missions in unique ways and includes the ability to scavenge weapons and equipment. A prime example of this shift is the ‘Reactor’ mission.
You play as Captain Price and must neutralise three enemy helicopters. While exploring the map, there’s a good chance you will come across a stuck door in a northern office building at map coordinates G3. But can you unlock it? And, if so, how do you do it? Having personally completed the mission, I’m here to guide you through the steps.
How to open stuck door in the office in MW3 Reactor mission
Go outside the building, climb onto the large air conditioning unit and then onto the roof. Shoot through the glass skylight on the roof to gain access to the room behind the stuck door. There are lots of supplies inside, including a Basilisk handgun.
You will notice a chair has been used to jam the door handle. Interacting with the chair will remove it from the door and allow you to open it.
It’s as simple as that. The only thing to bear in mind while exploring this area is the large enemy presence. There are many guards patrolling, so take care not to alert them.
