This Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III (MW3) guide explains how to open the stuck door in the fire station in the Reactor mission.
Gamers who had pre-ordered Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III were granted access to its campaign on 2nd November, a full eight days ahead of the game’s release date. Naturally, devoted Call of Duty fans wasted no time booting it up.
In Modern Warfare III, players once again step into the shoes of Task Force 141 members embarking on a global mission to confront the formidable ultranationalist antagonist, Vladimir Makarov, and his Konni Group forces. While Call of Duty campaigns have historically been synonymous with fast-paced linear missions and awe-inspiring action sequences, MW3 moves away from this.
Instead of the traditional on-the-rails missions, the majority of the campaign now comprises dynamic “open combat” scenarios, offering players the freedom to tackle these missions in unique ways. This approach includes the ability to gather weapons, field upgrades, equipment, and more. The ‘Reactor’ mission is just one example of this.
Players are free to explore the map as Captain Price while attempting to destroy three enemy helicopters. While looking around, there’s a good chance you will stumble across the fire station. Inside is a stuck door. However, you can see the room contains loot. So, how do you open it? Having figured it out myself, I can fill you in on all the steps.
How to open stuck door in the fire station in MW3 Reactor mission
First, get the Ascender from the fire station’s garage area. Use this to go up the comms tower west of the fire station. Next, parachute onto the roof of the fire station. Climb up through the window into the station’s tower.
Look through the hole in the floor into the room below and shoot the explosive barrel. This will open the door. Inside the room is an orange supply crate with a mini-gun, as well as other supplies.
You are now free to use the mini-gun if you wish. It will also be added to your loadouts for the mission.
