This Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III (MW3) guide explains where to find all four bombs in the Gora Dam mission.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III‘s campaign launched eight days early for pre-order customers. So, players (ourselves included) have been checking it out.
A key change in this year’s campaign is the increased focus on “open combat” missions. These grant a level of freedom to players, allowing you to complete objectives in whichever way you see fit.
The campaign also features familiar locations from Warzone, such as Verdansk’s Gora Dam. As Ghost, you are tasked with defusing four bombs planted by Makarov’s soliders. While their general locations are marked on your map, they can be tricky to locate.
Having completed the mission, I have outlined each location of all four of the bombs in the MW3 Gora Dam mission.
Bomb locations in MW3 Gora Dam mission
The first bomb is inside the dam’s gatehouse at map coordinates C4. Parachute down from the starting catwalk into the water directly below. Go right and swim inside the gatehouse. Climb onto the platform ahead and go right into a room with two guards. Take them out and defuse the bomb.
From there, continue down the corridor ahead. Deal with the guards and hack any claymores you come across. Go right outside the dam and past the burnt out vehicle. You will see an LTV up ahead at map coordinates D4. There is a bomb to defuse loaded on the back of it. During another run of this level, I found the LTV further west at map coordinates C5. Therefore, be sure to fully explore the area if you can’t find the LTV.
Continue past the LTV and make your way to the lower catwalks south of the control room. The bomb is in the central alcove at map coordinates D6.
The fourth and final bomb is located to the east and is underwater. It can be found at map coordinates F5. Jump into the water to defuse it.
