Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II is set to be released in October. It’s just a few short months away. And attention is already turning to the Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer beta.

While some players enjoyed multiplayer in Black Ops Cold War and Vanguard, there is certainly a feeling that 2019’s Modern Warfare reboot was a return to form for the series.

Now, fans have high hopes for its sequel. As with many Call of Duty games, Modern Warfare II will be holding a multiplayer beta. And there are a couple of ways to ensure you can take part.

So, how can you join the multiplayer beta and get early access to the game?

How To Get Early Access To Modern Warfare 2 Multiplayer

Thankfully, Activision aren’t making it too difficult to join the multiplayer beta. But as expected, it won’t just be available to anyone and everyone.

This is how to get early access to Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer and join the beta. Activision announced via the Call of Duty League Twitter account that you could win a Beta Code if you watch the Call of Duty League Championship on August 7th 2022.

Additionally, all players who pre-order the game will receive access to the beta. This includes PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. It has also been confirmed that the beta will be available “first on PlayStation”.

Modern Warfare 2 Multiplayer Beta Release Date

A release date for the Modern Warfare 2 beta hasn’t been announced. Although reports indicate it isn’t far away.

A recent report from reliable Call of Duty insider Tom Henderson claims the multiplayer beta will arrive in mid-September. Apparently the multiplayer mode will be revealed a couple of weeks prior at the start of September.

Other reports suggest that PlayStation players will get just a couple of days to enjoy the beta by themselves before players on other platforms join the fun.

It’s also safe to assume that progress made in the Modern Warfare 2 early access beta won’t carry over to the main game. This is usually the case with most game’s that offer multiplayer betas before release.
