This Layers of Fear guide details the telephone numbers of The Painter’s story.

Layers of Fear is a narrative-driven psychological horror game from Bloober Team. This latest instalment is a reimagining of the first two titles in the series and all their DLCs.

The entire Layers of Fear experience has been rebuilt using Unreal Engine 5 and delivers 4K resolution and ray tracing. It also features spooky and complex puzzles that will make you pause for thought.

During The Painter’s story, players must explore a warped mansion that constantly changes. Eventually, you will reach a mysterious study and find a phone.

The telephone requires a number. And once you’ve solved that initial puzzle, you need to find numbers for two subsequent telephones.

If you’re stuck trying to find the numbers for each telephone in Layers of Fear as The Painter, we’ve provided them below.

For the second number, leave the small room with the phone, turn right and then right again into another room. Follow the room round and go down the stairs. Go through a door at the bottom of the stairs and walk along more furniture. You will see the telephone number (853) written on the back of some fallen furniture below.

Use these numbers to find the third phone number.

To find the third number, go back out the room with the phone and you will see paintings straight ahead with numbers written on them. These correspond with the paintings in the room with the phone. Note the numbers in the order that the paintings in the phone room are positioned (left to right). This will give you the telephone number 354.
