This guide explains how to do the Krampus Easter Egg in Call of Duty: Warzone (MW3 Season 1).
Call of Duty fans will no doubt remember Krampus from Vanguard-era Warzone. This festive beast would randomly track and attack your squad and pose a genuine threat to your success. The only warning you received was an on-screen message stating “Krampus is hunting you!”.
The creature became a source of legitimate complaint and criticism as it disrupted the flow of games and cost players victories. When it was finally removed from Warzone, players were relieved to see the back of it. But now, every Christmas, there is worry among the CoD community that Krampus will return.
This year, Krampus is back in Warzone as part of MW3 Season 1’s Santa’s Slayground event. Thankfully, however, he doesn’t pose a threat and is merely included as a fun Easter Egg for players to find in Urzikstan.
If you want to know how to find Krampus in Warzone, check out the Easter Egg guide below.
Where to find Krampus Easter Egg in Warzone (MW3 Season 1)
The Krampus Easter Egg is located at map coordinates E4 in Old Town. To find the Easter Egg, head to the river bank at the north-westernmost point of Old Town opposite Urzikstan Cargo. Walk along the river bank and you will see Krampus’ arm sticking out of the ground.
Approach its arm and a prompt will appear allowing you to interact with it. Press Square/X and the arm will twitch. The “Krampus is hunting you!” message will appear. However, it will not attack the player and a smaller message informs you that the hunt has been cancelled as Krampus is “under crate”.
Wait a few moments and an ominous voice can be heard warning the player that “He’ll return”. Whether this means Krampus is actually set to return to Warzone as part of the Santa’s Slayground event is unknown but it seems unlikely given how much players dislike it.
Whatever happens with Krampus in future remains to be seen, but this little Easter Egg is a fun nod to a piece of Warzone history that’s best left in the past.
