Another year, another WWE video game for wrestling fans to enjoy. While the WWE 2K series has certainly bounced back from the dark days of 2K20, one feature is raising questions. And players want to know if WWE 2K23 is cross-platform.
In modern online gaming, cross-platform features are commonplace. Players expect to be able to enjoy multiplayer games with their friends, whether they’re on PlayStation, Xbox, or PC.
Crossplay was absent in WWE 2K22, meaning players couldn’t grapple online with their pals if they were on a different platform. But is this still the case in the latest WWE game?
Does it have crossplay?
Unfortunately, WWE 2K23 does not feature crossplay. That means fans can’t play online multiplayer with people on other consoles.
So, if you own WWE 2K23 on PlayStation, you’re stuck playing the game with other PlayStation owners. While it’s certainly not the most essential feature, it’s definitely something players would appreciate having.
However, despite WWE 2K23 not having crossplay for online multiplayer, there are some cross-platform features for players to enjoy.
Is WWE 2K23 cross-platform? Community Creations explained
WWE 2K23 does have cross-platform Community Creations. This allows players to view and share creations with users on other platforms.
There is a small catch, however. To participate in cross-platform Community Creations, players must have a 2K account. Thankfully, it’s pretty straightforward to set one up and they’re available to everyone. Simply head to the official 2K Accounts website.
Once you’ve created your 2K Account, you can enable cross-platform Community Creations in the the game’s settings.
While it would be awesome to see crossplay featured in a WWE game one day, Community Creations remains one the the series’ strongest points. So, at least players can make the most of WWE 2K23‘s impressive Creation Suite and share their creations with others regardless of the platform they own.
