Call of Duty: Warzone has been around for a couple of years yet it remains one of the most popular video games in the world. And while Warzone may have its fair share of issues, the immense popularity it garnered during the Covid-19 lockdowns has secured it an enduring and faithful stream of players. As a result, millions continue to flock to it everyday for their regular dose of battle royale action. With more and more players upgrading to next-gen consoles, a top priority for many players will be Warzone‘s performance on PS5 and if the upgrade is worth it. So, is Warzone 120FPS on PS5? Or is it stuck at 60FPS? Read on to find out…

Is Warzone 120FPS on PS5?

Call of Duty: Warzone is a fast paced, intense game. This means a higher frame rate offers some key advantages to players. Not only does it enable you to spot enemies more quickly, it also improves your reaction times. This means that a higher frame rate should, theoretically, give you the jump on unsuspecting enemy players.

While 120FPS gaming has been around for years on top-end PCs, it’s new to the console market. Many games on PS4 and Xbox One were locked at 30FPS. However, it may surprise you to know that Warzone achieved 45-60fps on PS4 – which isn’t terrible. Still, from there, the step up to 120fps is huge.

Is Warzone 120FPS on PS5? Yes, Call of Duty: Warzone runs at 120FPS on PS5 – provided you have the correct monitor and are prepared to sacrifice a higher resolution. On PS5, Warzone players can choose between either 1528p 60FPS or 1080p 120FPS. To achieve 120FPS in Warzone, your monitor or TV needs to have a 120Hz refresh rate.
