Horizon Forbidden West‘s Seeds of the Past quest is one of its most challenging. There’s a whole tribe of tough enemies and a number of puzzles that you need to solve in order to get to DEMETER. Once you’ve figured out how to get around the impenetrable vines and how to get into Test Station Elm, you need to access a Paired Console to continue on your quest to retrieve DEMETER. Unfortunately, the Paired Console is behind a door which is locked and needs power. So, you have to figure out how to power up the control room door to progress. It had me baffled at first – but I solved it. Here’s how to restore power to the control room door in Horizon Forbidden West‘s Seeds of the Past quest…

How To Restore Power To The Control Room Door in Horizon Forbidden West – Seeds of the Past quest

So, you’ve gotten inside Test Station Elm. After looking around, you find yourself confronted by another puzzle – how to power up the control room door. It’s an essential step in moving on with the quest.

This is how to restore power to the control room door in Horizon Forbidden West: First, use the Pullcaster on the vent in the south corner of the room and crouch through. Next, ignite the Firegleam on the wall to your left to create a hole. Head through the new hole back to the main room and pull out the first battery storage rack on your left. Move round to the right of the rack and remove the energy cell. Take the energy cell back into the room you just came out of. Finally, place it in the generator (marked with battery symbol) at the north east end of the room.
